One-ness

Do you have problems doing things by yourself like eating out or going to the movies?

Do most people? I admit to being a little self-conscious while eating by myself, but for the most part going to movies, plays, concerts and things by myself is not a problem. I find using people as accessories to feel less self-conscious is just as, if not more, stressful than just going it alone since I end up wondering, “Are they enjoying themselves? Do they have to get back for something? Are they just waiting for the torture to end? I have to feed them. Do they really have to go to the bathroom NOW WE JUST GOT HERE WHY DIDN’T THEY GO BEFORE.”

Obviously, I am not a people person. If you were me, and knew me as well as I knew me, you would not be a people person either. I mean, I take a lot of work to keep content, and I can tell myself what I need without worrying about putting me to trouble. Other people? No way, man. (Excepting Curt, of course, on the trouble bit. I have long gotten used to thinking of him as a freckled extension of myself, like my long-lost Siamese twin/limb.)

Therefore, I am all for people doing things alone. I really do believe it is healthy to be able to do things by yourself without always being dependent on others.
